Tri-County has always been dedicated to helping with local community endeavors. In 2014, TCEPS made a $50,000 donation to the Southampton Free Library for its Capital and Endowment Campaign. These funds are being used towards renovations for the facility and to expand the library’s programs for both adults and children.
In 2010, Dr. Richard Prince was accompanied by his daughter, Dr. Jessica Prince Wolfish on a medical mission trip to Ghana with Unite for Sight. In the summer of 2013, Dr. Richard Prince returned to Ghana accompanied by Dr. Joel Wolinsky and a team of ophthalmic technicians. The team provided exams and eyeglasses for hundreds of patients in rural Ghana. Dr. Prince also performed hundreds of cataract surgeries, restoring vision and significantly improving quality of life to patients who had nearly gone blind from advanced cataracts.
In August 2014, Dr. Kuryan went on a medical mission trip to Mumbai, India with Bombay Teen Challenge, where she provided exams and eyeglasses to hundreds of women and children that have fallen victim to human trafficking. TCEPS will continue its commitment to the community both near and far in the future.
